I enjoyed Queen of Angels very much. It was a book I looked forward to coming back to and zoomed to the end quickly. I thought he captured young love well. I also really liked Nando's mediation riff: no future no past, no desire no fear; see your own thoughts without judgment. About Nando & Mick's friendship being closer than family; that's what happens to children of immigrants whose parents cannot really get how you are experiencing America as a young person. Don't we all play parts in life? It is great to have someone know the true you and still love you, that is true love.
