I thought the book was very good and toward the end I couldn't put it down. It sort of moved quickly after the secret is revealed. It is an interesting concept to ponder (which empty nesters deal with) what kind of a family is just a couple--that is two partners without children. It's good to have rules, but sometimes rules are made to be broken. I am looking forward to seeing the movie, which stars real life couple Fassbinder and Vikander, she is beautiful. My goodness it took Isabel long enough to come around to do the right thing to save Tom.
