I thought the book was 75% good. Toward the end it turned into how great she is and how many acronyms and names she could drop etc. The serendipity of how she became so big in the "small local sustainable business" network was amazing (she crashed her car and a bystander told her of waitressing job at La Terrasse, which I hear is defunct). Also relevant to me was how she got screwed twice by men: her husband cheated her out of 50% of founder's share in Urban Outfitters and owner of La Terrasse gave her nothing for her building his business to $2M in sales a year!
ReplyDeleteShe is a business "natural." She had the internal wherewithall to leave 2 husbands.
