  1. I have quite a few interactions with medical records/medications of mentally ill at my work. I really appreciated ALL of Temple Grandin's insights. Wow, she seems supersmart to me, thinking about so much stuff I don't have time to ponder. A teacher once suggested my son had "Asperger's" --he is now in medical school although a bit antisocial but not shy and both a gifted public singer and actor (so has no stagefright). I think Temple Grandin makes a great case for what society would lose if somehow schizophrenics and manic depressives and those on the Autism spectrum were "eliminated" from the world. We'd have a much less rich worldwide community. The cattle are lucky to have such a sure friend on their side. I am pretty sure myself that all kinds of diversity lead to a much more just world and leads to the best overall problem solving. If only the majority of the US populace could embrace and not fear those who are not just like them, eat like them, look like them, believe like them, etc.
See you all at the play on Dec. 4; I will be bringing my friend Diane. Happy Tksgvg. Michelle
